FYI, I'm in Lodi and we found the spot where my grandmother's picture was taken. We found the birth announcements of my aunt, uncle, and dad. Today, the current store owner is going to show us the inside of the place.

Oh, I suppose I've been dubbed a lot of things at a lot of times...

If I were truly genius, I would be able to figure out how to change my name from admin to Rebecca. But alas, I am not.

I knew that line would get a comment from you, Aunt Barbara :-)

I'm still reading up on self-publishing and trying to figure out the best numbers for e-book distribution -- but my decision may come down to the cold hard fact that Amazon offers a really nice deal (70% royalties) for exclusive distribution on the Kindle. I may decide to offer this proposed new book for short periods of time through other channels like B&N, but I'm leaning towards mostly sticking with the Kindle. Who knows, though. Things are changing so fast in the e-publishing world, so by the time I finish it later this summer all of this may be obsolete.

No, I would say that book strongly advocates physically planting in one place in order to achieve stability of heart -- stability in community. But as you and I both know, that's not always how life works. It's desirable, for sure, but in the times when that temporal stability is lacking, our hearts can remain planted in the Holy Spirit, in the Word, in the truth of God's promises for eternity. I guess that's what I meant by keeping an oyster heart in clam seasons :-)
